"Going forward, Marsh will try to find a way to test her theory about alcohol’s effects on post-event processing. But the key to a good experiment, she says, is to try to replicate all the aspects of drinking — from the actual alcohol consumption to the social dynamics at play. Ansiedade e depressão relacionados com morte por cancro

https://stv.tv/news/scotland/1379060-anxiety-could-heighten-risk-of-dying-from-cancer-study-finds/

Citando:
"Dr David Batty from University College London, the lead author, said: "After statistical control for these factors, the results show that compared with people in the least distressed group, death rates in the most distressed group were consistently higher for cancer of the bowel, prostate, pancreas, and oesophagus and for leukaemia."
The researchers said the study did not prove distress definitely caused increased death, and it may be that undiagnosed cancer lowers people's mood."

"(,..) researchers at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) have found cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is the most effective treatment for treating social anxiety disorder than taking "happy pills".

"A lot of doctors and hospitals combine medications - like the famous "happy pill" - with talk therapy when they treat this patient group. It works well in patients with depressive disorders, but it actually has the opposite effect in individuals with social anxiety disorders" said Hans M. Nordahl, a professor of behavioral medicine at NTNU,  in a statement."
