""It's the way they are doing it which might mean they aren't actually as effective at reducing risks of illness as they think because the home may look clean, but it is not hygienic or disinfected at all.

"Studies have shown that flu viruses can survive on common household sites for extended periods of time, from up to 48 hours on wooden surfaces, eight hours on cloths, and 24-48 hours on non-porous surfaces.

"People may be surprised to learn that it is in fact hands and hand contact surfaces that can play a very important role in the journey of the germ, and that good hand hygiene together with regular disinfection of commonly touched surfaces can help to reduce transmission of colds and flu.

"Studies have also found household objects such as door handles, light switches, pens, tap and toilet handles, and television remote controls can become contaminated with viruses which are transmitted by dirty hands."

Químicos de produtos de limpeza (sprays) afectam pulmões?

... Aparentemente das mulheres. Mas o estudo tem algumas limitações:

Citando:
"A new European study has found women who work as cleaners or who regularly clean the family home using cleaning sprays or other products, experience a greater decline in lung function over time than women who do not clean.

The researchers, from the University of Bergen in Norway, say the accelerated lung function decline is comparable to smoking 20 cigarettes a day over 10 to 20 years.

Study

The University of Bergen researchers analysed data from 6,235 participants in the European Community Respiratory Health Survey, of which 53% were women.

They were followed for more than 20 years."

(...)

""It is deeply concerning that this study shows cleaning products can cause long-term lung damage for people with asthma.

(...)

"This could include using solid or liquid cleaning products instead of sprays, avoiding scented products and ensuring the area where they clean is well-ventilated."

Ai as limpezas...

Eis a teoria, sendo que a limpeza de uma habitação (e do seu ar) está intimamente ligada à saúde dos residentes:
