Escovar os dentes bem?

https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2019/mar/17/how-to-clean-your-teeth-properly

Citando:
"There is some evidence that small-headed electric toothbrushes tend to be a bit better than manual brushes – but make sure you still use them in a systematic way.

Brushing your teeth fights gum disease; fluoride toothpaste stops the decay. Spit the toothpaste out but don’t rinse out. Mouthwash by itself is not going to do the job that brushing with toothpaste does. If you do want to use mouthwash, again spit rather than rinse.

Ask your dentist or hygienist about flossing. For most people, good brushing will be enough. Others may be more susceptible to gum disease and have to do more, such as using interdental brushes (for gaps between teeth) and floss (where your teeth have tight contact)."

Sobre a higiene dentária

A forma de escovar, a pasta com flúor 1350 ppm mais, cuspir em vez de bochechar no fim, menos de 4 sugar hits / dia:

Citando:
"How you brush makes a big difference. The mechanical act of brushing removes the very sticky dental plaque – a mixture of bacteria, their acids and sticky byproducts and food remnants.

It forms naturally on teeth immediately after you've eaten but doesn't get nasty and start to cause damage to the teeth until it reaches a certain stage of maturity. The exact amount of time this takes isn't known but is at least more than 12 hours.

Bacteria consume sugar and, as a byproduct, produce acids which dissolve mineral out of the teeth, leaving microscopic holes we can't see.

If the process isn't stopped and they aren't repaired, these can become big, visible cavities.

Taking two minutes to brush your teeth is a good target for removing plaque and you should brush at night and one other time daily. "

(...)

"Once you've brushed, don't rinse your mouth with water or mouthwash – you're washing away the fluoride! This can be a difficult habit to break, but can reduce tooth decay by up to 25 per cent."

Lavar os dentes, qual a melhor forma?

http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/should-you-wet-your-toothbrush-before-brushing-dentists-give-definitive-answer-1661999

Citação:
"Users of the social media website divided into several factions over the topic: those who stick toothpaste straight onto their dry toothbrushes; those who rinse the brush under the tap beforehand; and those who apply the paste and then wet their brushes."
