Gebes associados a regeneração do coração?

https://www.metrojornal.com.br/estilo-vida/2018/11/24/o-peixe-mexicano-que-pode-guardar-o-segredo-para-reparar-coracoes-danificados.html

Citando:

http://www.express.co.uk/life-style/health/838650/exercise-pill-mimics-effects-visit-gym-heart-disease-sufferers

Citando:
"Scientists claim the experimental drug can even strengthen weak hearts.

The pill is based on a protein called CT1(cardiotrophin 1) that tricks the heart into thinking it is being exercised by growing healthily and pumping more blood.

This replicates what happens during a workout, jog or cycle ride."

Ai as estatinas, outra vez

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/2017/05/26/statins-help-repair-heart-lowering-cholesterol-study-suggests/

Citando:
"Statins not only lower cholesterol but also repair the heart and restore lost function, a new study suggests.

Around six million people in Britain are prescribed statins but many people do not take the drugs over fears they caused debilitating side-effects.

Last year a 30-year study concluded that the benefits of statins far outweighed the risks and claimed they helped prevent around 80,000 heart attacks a year.

Now new research by Queen Mary University of London suggests they are even more beneficial. Not only do they lower cholesterol but they also appear to improve heart health.

The researchers suspect that the drugs reduce oxidative stress and so slows down heart ageing while at the same time boosting blood flow to help repair damage and lower stress.

The team used magnetic resonance scanning (MRI) to peer into the hearts of 4,622 men and women in their 60s from the UK Biobank, of whom 785 were taking statins.

Compared with untreated individuals, patients prescribed the medicines had lower left ventricular heart chambers containing 2.4 per cent less muscle mass, meaning their hearts were fitter and healthier and more able to pump blood effectively.

The effect was striking because those prescribed statins had been judged to the biggest risk of heart problems. They had higher BMIs, higher blood pressure and were on average four years older."

"According to preliminary research, social jet lag can cause an increased risk of heart disease, poor health, worse mood and greater fatigue,

The new study found that – even if you do get the recommended eight hours of sleep a night on the weekend – every hour that this is shifted to later in the morning is associated with an 11% increase risk of heart disease."

http://www.express.co.uk/life-style/health/785486/peanuts-boost-heart-health-prevent-attack-stroke

Citando:
"The study, published in the Journal of Nutrition, showed eating peanuts can keep the cells that line the arteries healthy - helping them stay more elastic.

The researchers showed when peanuts are eaten with a meal the typical build-up of triglycerides - like cholesterol a type of fat found in the bloodstream - is dampened.

Professor Kris-Etherton said: "After a meal, triglycerides increase and this typically decreases the dilation of the arteries, but the peanuts prevent that big increase in triglycerides after the meal.

"And that may be the mechanism behind this effect, because the triglycerides are not getting so high, which may explain why there is not a decrease in artery elasticity.""

http://www.ctvnews.ca/mobile/health/why-a-group-of-scientists-grew-human-heart-tissue-on-spinach-1.3342787

Citando:
"With a chronic shortage of donor organs, researchers have resorted to engineering large-scale human tissue using techniques such as 3-D printing. One complex problem that has impeded this research, however, is how to recreate a small, intricate vascular system in order to deliver oxygen and nutrients required for proper tissue growth.

“One of the big problems in tissue engineering today is getting blood supply to the newly-created tissue,” Gaudette explained to CTVNews.ca in a phone interview from Worcester, Mass.

To overcome this problem, scientists have started looking at plants for a potential solution. Bioengineering researchers have begun experimenting with growing organs on different plants using their branching network of veins, which delivers water and nutrients to the leaves."

http://abcnews.go.com/Health/food-fads-diet-trends-fare-heart-health/story?id=45777365

Citando:
"After an in-depth review of the scientific data, researchers found the most heart-healthy diet includes foods like extra-virgin olive oil, antioxidant-rich berries, green leafy vegetables, plant-based proteins, nuts in moderation and can include lean meats. To cut down on cholesterol, the study authors suggest limiting or eliminating coconut and palm oils, which are high in saturated fatty acids, and eggs, which raise the level of cholesterol in the bloodstream.

"Dietary requirements haven’t really changed," Freeman continued. "The diet that is most cardioprotective is mostly plant based ... predominantly fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and limited amounts of animal products if any.""

Síndrome do Coração Partido (takotsubo)?

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/ap/article-4076448/Did-Debbie-Reynolds-die-broken-heart-syndrome.html
Citando:
"Broken-heart syndrome is when a surge of stress hormones, such as adrenaline and cortisol, cause arteries to seize, limiting blood flow to the heart. The experience — and diagnosis — is often confused with heart attack, Creager said.
Both conditions look the same on an electrocardiogram, said cardiologist Dr. Holly Andersen, director of education for the heart institute at New York Presbyterian Hospital and scientific adviser for the Women's Heart Alliance. But where heart attacks are caused by blocked arteries, there are no such blockages in "broken" hearts.
The condition can be treated, and even heal untreated, she said, but it can also cause heart arrhythmias and sudden death.
Japanese researchers were the first to describe broken-heart syndrome in 1990. They named it takotsubo, which means "octopus pot," for the way the malfunctioning heart appears in imaging studies."

"Data from more than 900,000 people suggests regular drinking is deadly
•This was defined as about 340ml of 5% strength beer or 140ml of 12% wine a day
•Having just 1 drink a day increased the risk of an abnormal heart rhythm by 8%
•Every extra drink consumed daily increases the risk by another 8%, they found
Drinking just one glass of wine or bottle of beer a day could trigger a dangerous 'heart flutter', experts warn"
