https://www.webmd.boots.com/asthma/news/20180216/cleaning-lung-damage

Citando:
"A new European study has found women who work as cleaners or who regularly clean the family home using cleaning sprays or other products, experience a greater decline in lung function over time than women who do not clean.

The researchers, from the University of Bergen in Norway, say the accelerated lung function decline is comparable to smoking 20 cigarettes a day over 10 to 20 years.

Study

The University of Bergen researchers analysed data from 6,235 participants in the European Community Respiratory Health Survey, of which 53% were women.

They were followed for more than 20 years."

""It is deeply concerning that this study shows cleaning products can cause long-term lung damage for people with asthma.

(...)

"This could include using solid or liquid cleaning products instead of sprays, avoiding scented products and ensuring the area where they clean is well-ventilated."

Produtos limpeza (lixívia) associados a doenças dos pulmões

Doença pulmonar obstructiva crónica e produtos de limpeza (uma vez por semana; specific cleaning chemicals known as quaternary ammonium compounds - quats):
https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/sep/11/regularly-using-bleach-linked-to-higher-risk-of-fatal-lung-disease

Citando:
"Regular use of bleach and other common disinfectants has been linked to a higher risk of developing fatal lung disease, researchers have found.

The use of disinfectants is linked to a higher risk of developing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), according to research looking at incidence of the disease in more than 55,000 nurses in the US.

The 30-year study by Harvard University and the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (Inserm) found that those who used the products just once a week had as high as a 32% increased chance of developing the condition."
